Long Shot Events started with a love of live music, community, and bringing people together, but at its heart, it’s a family business.

Founded by Ben and Katreena on Vancouver Island, Long Shot grew from producing events we wanted to experience ourselves: creative, welcoming spaces where great music, thoughtful design and community all come together. What began with a love of throwing memorable events has grown into a full-scale production company, while still keeping the same hands-on, personal approach we started with.

Today, we produce everything from intimate concerts to large-scale music festivals throughout Vancouver Island. Our work spans event production, sound and technical production, equipment rentals, stage and site design, creative installations, decor and the countless behind-the-scenes details that turn an idea into an experience.

We’re builders, producers, problem-solvers and creatives, and Long Shot is very much woven into our family life. Our daughter has grown up alongside stages being built, festivals coming together and a revolving door of artists, crew and friends.

For us, a great event isn’t just about what happens on stage. It’s about creating a place people want to be, something that feels special, welcoming and a little unexpected.
